Juan Diaz vs Manny Pacquiao

Pac will win a belt against David Diaz and be hurried to a megamoney bout with Hatton. They will skip Juan because he is dangerous and may spoil the megabout with Hatton. Should Pac beat Hatton or even loose, I can see him using the weight excuse, dropping down to 135, take a tuneup and then fight Juan Diaz.

 

Thats what i keep hearing, but since its a Juan Diaz vs Pac thread, i responded accordingly. but yeah, i dont see it happening. Pac maybe up for it, but Arum would definitely not allow it:-(

 

I think lightweight is too big of a leap -- man I think PacMan should stay at 130 and build his rep .. he's not having trouble making that weight so why move up.

Diaz doesn't have to have power to win the fight -- You don't know if PacMan will lose speed and power ...

Juan Diaz has speed and won't stop coming, now pacquiao would have to unload alot of punches and fight on the inside. Pacquiao can't fight going backwards -- everyone knows that.

 

pac now has a potent right hook, jab and left lead when going backwards. and pac is primarily an outside slugger so he doesn't need to fight in the inside. he does though sometimes with his very fast in and out style.

pac is also virtually a lightweight now coming in at around 145 pounds during fights. on the other hand, j. diaz weighed around 142 lbs. during his last fight.

 

so you're saying PacMan can back up Diaz?

 

Lets be honest here, David Diaz is abit ****.

Whilst i like Pacman, he's made his name off 3 fighters, 2 who happened to be fairly old....Barrera, Morales and JMM.

 

Barrera was 29 the first time Pac beat him.

 

11th round stoppage, how could i forget...i loved pac for that.

 

I've seen Diaz taking punches from his opponents the moment he gets into a toe-to-toe action. I don't think he could afford taking PACQUIAO's punches under that style of fighting..


As what I've said before, Pacquiao could have already landed 3 or 4 of his deadly puches long before DIAZ could complete half of his 400+ feather-fisted blows to make the PACMAN quit on his stool.

Morales was 29 yrs old at the time of the pacquiao-morales 2 fight..

MAB and Morales were both not old when they fought pacquiao, just a fact...

Pacquiao's 29 now..

 

I think his problem in 130 is, He's getting to big and having hard time staying at that weight.
That's why they choose Marquez of the unfinished business and the belt at 130. After that its 135.

 

Yeah I know dude, party foods gives you tons of weights.

But seeing Pacquiao doing 144lbs at some of his bouts. HE should really step up or he will need to keep forcing his body back to 130 everytime.

As we all know Diaz wants Pacquaio badly and I imagine put on the performance of his life....which means even more activity and determination from Diaz(if there could be such a thing).......It would be total domination...sure Pac would have his moments...only to have them nullified by Diaz's sure and more convincing response

 

He still beat Cruz who arguably beat Casamayor who is the ring champ at 135. The fact that Pacman can take out a guy who has a rep all his career to have an iron chin inside 3 rounds, whereas a LW champion arguably looses over 12 is a testament to his power.

Look at all the guys who tasted Pac's power, JMM, MAB & Morales, they have all fallen a total of 11 times. Pac's power is being severely underrated. His power is nullified by boxing skills, something Morales did in the 1st and JMM did in their fight, but stand toe-toe and the result is a foregone conclusion. We know Juan will stand toe-toe.
