I've been wondering about this for quite some time now. And is puzzling how people are constantly putting Castillo down at 135, when he had beaten everyone at that weight class.

Castillo is one of my favorite mexican fighters who fought with great boxing IQ, accuracy and power so i don't understand why people keep saying that if Castillo almost beat FLoyd then imagine Duran, or Chavez or a Prime Cotto... who were all naturally bigger fighters..? Makes no sense.

I might get trash for this but who gives... Castillo is one of the best Lightweights ever, his wins against Lazcano, Johnston, Diaz, Casamayor and Mayweather puts him up there, He had the style to give any great/good LW fits.

Castillo was a very good LW, he wasnt a massive name but kept getting good results and was the top man for a while

noone is underrating him. he gave floyd a good run but lost. he is rated properly to me. especially since post corrales he has done nothing.

That was at LWW, and when Castillo was past his best after a brutal war with Corrales and a contraversial decision in his fight before Hatton

That was after he was battle worned and corrales match was a nail to the coffin. Why would you judge a fighter at the tail end of their long career?

Maybe that had to do with the fact that he wasn't the same seens that fight?

Great post but he fought great opposition and basically everyone at 135 in his prime days anything after Corrales i don't hold him to it bc he was clearly worned out. Oh yeah, he will definitely go into HOF. Are you kidding me? Is not difficult to be in the HOF.

He was a great fighter but overall his highest credit is almost beating floyd. but I think he is rated correctly.
