    These fights should not be on the list. I know they were big wins and such, but they took place in 2001, the first year of the 21st century.

    The 20th century were the years between 1901-2000.

    Was looking through the thread and it got me thinking that no one had actually mentioned Johnson over Jeffries till your post.

    Thinking about it, I think this certainly has a strong case to be the most significant win of the 20th century. Without this win we may never had seen the likes of Holmes, Ali, Lewis, Louis, Frazier, Foreman, Holyfield, Bowe and all the other great coloured heavyweight all time greats.
