Ward vs Dawson [KEYS TO VICTORY]

Ward will have to make it an inside fight and get off first at all times. Work that sneaky lead right and step in close and work the body up close.

Dawson needs to stay on the outside, use his range and capitalize on Wards mistakes, counter-punch Ward coming in. Work that right hook.

There is a very good chance Dawson takes this. Ward makes mistakes with his footwork, balance and positioning at times. Tho Dawson has mental lapses and no real 3rd gear. But he does have more power than Ward. If Dawson can stay sharp, has speed and pulls the trigger when Ward makes his mistakes, Dawson will win this. If he cant, Ward will drown him. Hard to say who wins this right now. Ill wait to see how Dawson looks at the weigh in.

Chavez will beat Martinez. And Dawson just may beat Ward.

 

You WILL see. I havnt officially picked Dawson but he has looked better in his last 2 fights plus looks in good spirits even with having to cut the extra weight. Dont sleep on Dawson. He can outbox Ward and theres no better timing for him than now.

 

Im interested to see Dawsons hand speed at 168. Ward will be facing a guy who is better fundamentally, has more speed and power and is a southpaw. At this point of Dawsons career, im not sure if Wards bully tactics will be enough to win him the fight. Although Ward has a tendency to show us something new or up his game with each fight. His true greatness just may show vs Dawson.

 

I think Ward will be overly cautious of Dawsons power. Dawson will find Ward and land some good shots but i see Ward edging out the win. I think we see a close fight that can go either way with Ward getting the nod. Chad must realize he may need a very one-sided win or possibly a ko to get the w.
