Boxing fans are seriously overrating Ward. I can't until Dawson beats the tar out of him come September 8.
How come Floyd Mayweather doesn't fight the best in his weight class? Andre Ward does so. None of those guys are quite as good as Kessler and Froch, you should know that.
As soon as I saw him dismantle Kessler, I knew he was cut from the same cloth as Mayweather, Hopkins, etc. Legend in the making.
A Ward is my favourite fighter at this time, very hard to beat and adaptable, but I wish people would stop obsessing over Calzaghe and comparing them. You cant compare a fighter like Dawson to Calzaghe who like Ward was adaptable and old when he retired. The annoying thing for Ward is that he doesnt have top SMWs to prove himself against like Calzaghe did. Im sure Ward would do well in any era and after he clearly beats Dawson, he will only move on. If only Ward hadnt of avoided Bute, as we know now that chances are, he would have won clearly, he would have sky rocketed by now, but this clear win over Dawson will be a good substitute :good
:huh Isn't it the other way round? He's had the Super Six to prove his worth. The era in which he's fighting in is a lot stronger than the one Joe had. But I agree, he missed out big time on Bute.
