I seem to have this problem This content is protected On the left is the fist I ended up making, on the right is the fist I want to make. any gloves that will allow me to have a full fist?
rival boxing gloves are really good, ive used fighter gloves in the past but rival imo is way better. It has good comfort and its flexible
yeah its a shame that most of their stuff is expensive but its worth it. you can also try title gloves, their gloves are ok but they have a lot of different kinds of gloves to suit your hands
I'm having same problem. Are we NOT supposed to be able to have a fully clenched fist when our hand is inside the boxing glove? Like the OP's picture, I would prefer if I my fist was fully clenched, but I don't know what kind of gloves offer that. Other than Rival, what's a good brand?
I like the pictures; nice post n all way to get your point across. On that note.. I used to have this issue, but I don't even notice it anymore... Often times now I worry about NOT making the fist a proper way without my glove.. then making the fist the improper way with a glove if I was to just throw one without thinking. That being said... if you are landing where you are supposed to land, the last knuckles on your fist, then it shouldn't be an issue.
Fist in gloves? Check out Jones Jr. shadow boxing. His fists are never fully gripped. Now when in glove, your fist should be tighter, but never a full fist. This content is protected The punch should be coming from technique. Making a tight fist flexes your forearm down to your wrist too much that you lose focus where the power should really be coming from. This is from a boxer style. If you're the Margarito type of fighter, then maybe someone else has better advice. Are there any benefits to shadowboxing on beat with the music? Does it help with rhythm or something? I find myself doing this sometimes unintentionally at the gym and wondered if it's a common practice.
Whatever works for you. Don't look too much into it. Shadow boxing is different for everybody, so as long as you're putting some good work into it and focusing on more important aspects (stance, technique, defense, speed) you should see progress. Personally, I follow a beat mostly when on jump rope. Or on the toilet for focus.
