Hearns would probably be one of the three worst matchups for Floyd possible.

Can laugh all you want but Mayweather does not have the type of skill set to bother a Hearns.
Mayweather is 1 if not the most skillfull fighter of this generation i would never argue otherwise, but he does not have the skills required to even bother Hearns.

Maybe but that all ******ed logic by that ****** IGiveHead saying that Floyd would be on his bike the all fight and the one that would end up getting tired was Hearns has to be up there.:lol::lol:

The reason I disagree with your last part is because Hearns had such tremendous reach & a long stride that he doesn`t need to do a whole lot of `chasing` + floyd was never one for constant movement anyway, he`d do it in spurts but not constantly throughout the whole fight, if he did that then he & not Hearns would likely get worn out quicker, especially with him taking the more damaging punches.

floyd is at his best when defending flat footed, blocking, parrying, slipping, waiting to counter missed (or blocked) shots... kinda similar to Benitez... & even tho Benitez made Hearns miss a lot of shots he was rarely able to land any meaningful counters himself due to the speed, power & sheer volume of punches thrown by Hearns... Tommy missed a fair number of punches but landed a LOT of punches too, far more than Benitez.

Another important factor was that when as soon as Benitez had some success in the mid rounds making Tommy miss & countering, Tommy stopped & started to throw more cautiously, using his jab & reach to land punches, he threw one & two at a time, in & out & that actually made Benitez come out more because he knew he was losing... & of course when he did come out to Hearns he was simply outboxed from distance in ring centre.

Hearns is a master boxer & wouldn`t allow himself to be countered & outboxed like some amateur, he has too many options available vs floyd, he`d win this fight pretty decisively IMO.

Still not read one from you

But that's probably a good thing. The less you write the better, there's already enough nonsense on this site

Your right and I agree with everything you have said. I'm not disputing that 10/10 times he wins this fight.

My point on him tiring is that it is floyds chance to snatch rounds late on. Although it is perfectly acceptable to say he won't tire as that is your view on the fight and you have backed it up.

Only two fighters in history would give Hearns trouble at 147 and they both have Sugar as nickname. Only the Body snatcher gives him a run for his money at 154. On paper I favour Tommy over all of them in a twelve round fight. The thing is I would favour PBF over almost anyone at 130 and 135. Both fighters have different prime weights. Tommy would have been the man at 160 in his era if he did not run into haglar. 168 nobody cared about, 175 was the limit where Tommy could be considered one of the top guys. the limit for floyd is really 147 and 154 is gravy. There is no shame in considering an ATG fighter in that weight-class in his prime better than a fighter who is an ATG in a lower weight-class. these fantasy match-ups in this context are just silly TBH

If Floyd tries to be aggressive, Hearns wins by KO.

If Floyd fights defensively, Hearns wins by decision.

You cannot outbox Tommy Hearns. If you have any doubts, ask Leonard, Benitez, and Virgil Hill about how it worked out for them. And Floyd has zero chance at KOing him.
