How hard does Sam Peter hit?

Overrated power. But still very hard, I would say 'A' power. But noe elite, not comparable to Lewis, Tua, Tyson (and about 30 other big names who you all know)

 

I think Peter is highly over rated, lets be honest he was going to knock Wlad falt on his back, then he was going to KO Toney not once but twice, and then forget about McCline he wouldn't last 3 rounds with peter...


come on this guy has gotten hyped before every fight and has not performed

hE IS A GOOD PUNCHER but not a killer puncher,Maskaev can be ko'd as we know but he also has ko'd quite a few and he can box a bit to for a caveman. I expect Maskaev to give it his all, if he gets past this one there are some $$$$ fights waiting for the winner. Oleg has to know that Peter dropped 3 times in his last fight is going to be a little gun shy and he walked right into the uppercut with Jameel, so Oleg has got to want to bring back those menories while being cautious

 

Peter hits much harder than prime Rahman, and I remember about Rahman in his early Eurosport televised fights... I don't think there can be a harder shot than Tua's left hook but that is not that important because ... Damn, Tua was so short, he had to take so many jabs from bigger men to get inside ( see Rahman - Tua II in Philly on the undercard of Hopkins-Hakkar) that it really doesn't matter how hard was Tua's shot compared to Peter's... I am not definitely a Peter fan but I really can't see anyone willing to trade with this guy after that Williams' kayo.

You don't actually believe what you just posted, do you? I agree that Peter hits hard has hell, but you are just talking nonsense. Here are a few problems...

1. At the end of the third round, Peter did hit Wlad with the exact same sweeping left hook that he hit Williams with. Landed flush and Wlad didn't blink.

2. If you actually believe that Peter only hit Wlad with a few shots all night, then either you must agree that Wlad is the greatest defense master of all time, going an entire 12 round fight against a top boxer and only being hit 3 times. Or you just know that you are talking out of your ass, because Wlad was able to take what Peter dished out.

3. You have got to be the only person still trolling this message board, pretending like Peter actually scored 3 legit knockdowns against Wlad. If you call them glancing blow knockdowns, then I seriously question whether or not you have actually seen the fight. 1st knockdown, clear, flush haymaker to the back of the head. Illegal. 2nd knockdown, NO PUNCH LANDED, Peter pushed him down. 3. Barrage of punches landed, which was kicked off (as Lampley pointed out) by another punch to the back of the head. The very last punch just barely glanced him, only because Wlad's balance was gone and he was lurched backwards anyways.

 

Peter has as much finesse as a caveman. I believe his punch power is very overated as he rarely if ever gets a clean KO and just simply slugs like a rank amateur. At least Tua was able to put them together. Peter hasnt even discovered the straight right yet.

He needs a guy like Manny who could harness his raw physical talents.But his too old to learn anything new. He wont get much better if at all.

 

Williams has 48 professional fights. He has only been stopped 3 times, out of those 48 fights... including his loss to Peter. I wouldn't call that a glass jaw. I call that myth created by message board warriors who act like every fighter who gets knocked out has a glass jaw.

 

Williams never had no glass jaw. He was barely even a career heavy and would have been fighting at 200lbs if the limit was that in his prime. The guy was a stud as an Am and transferred this to the pro`s.

All Peter did was land a wild hook on the button. No shame there at all, thats boxing.

 

Dont mind him, he's trying to beat 2smart4U, for dumbest qoute of the week award. I think even a ****** could see Peter didnt even hit Wlad with 1/10 of the velocity he hit Williams with.

 

Williams has been knocked out by just about everybody. Hell, Goofy knocked him out!

Peter did not punch hard enough to hurt an out of shape McCline, who took the fight on short notice.

Peter did not punch hard enough to stop an old out of shape middleweight James Toney, actually lost the first fight, Toney hurt Peter with a right hand!

 

Williams is easily knocked, ask Goofi!

Peter did do an interesting dance when he lost to McCline.

 

Toney has never been knocked out, and only hurt once at Heavyweight, and that was against Sam Peter, he did something Rahman, Holyfield, Guinn, and Ruiz couldnt do. As far as the Mccline fight, Peter had 9 days to prepare, which left almost no time to prepare and bring in a sparring partner that mirrors Mccline's style and size, Mccline's a tough fight for anyone.
