Who do you think were the most unlikely unified or undisputed champions in boxing?

Just a quick look back at some fighters that a lot of people didn't really rate who managed to unify major titles. I thought this could happen if say Cleverly had managed to beat shumenov or vice versa. Especially if they then went on to beat cloud.

Spinks, Judah and Baldomir were all for same belts straight after each other. Judah and Spinks always had the potential but Baldomir was a shock.

I think Baldomir is the one that first springs to mind. Peterson is a good shout as even if you rated him above khan then most people still had him behind bradley

I know, they became undisputed off of one upset, same with Buster Douglas.

I'm trying to think of an unexpected champion who went on to win another belt, can't think of any.

Right now closest I can think of is Hatton beating Tszyu, then Muassa, but Hatton was a top contender even if not many believed he was for real back then.

The winner of Sturm Vs Geale. For what its worth I think Darren Barker would beat Sturm at this stage of his career and Geale

How about Juan Diaz?? I don't think people regarded him that highly before he unified.

Kazuto Ioka.. guy only had 9 fights and unified the WBA and WBC titles. Not to mention that the Japanese don't recognize the IBF and WBO.. Gamboa also.. it was weird because during his title reign there was 3 WBA champions at Featherweight, lol.. Tarver, but only because he upset RJJ. Leon Spinks.
