If you want to be pedantic,Wharton was rated when Eubank beat him,but you're going on as if Bute's famous for fighting top level opposition.I don't deny Eubank was a waster when it came to opposition(and that had a lot to do with the early period WBO wanting to have fighters with earning power holding belts) but to say he has no chance against Bute is ridiculous, and based on nothing but dislike for the guy. If Eubank had the sense to up his opposition at an earlier stage he would've had a better resume, but you won't get any argument from me that his resume is a shadow of what it could and should've been. But he has the style and chin to give Bute nightmares, and Bute has no one like Eubank on his resume. No one at all.
Andrade was a bigger puncher than Eubank. He also had a ton of stamina. Eubank did not - he would often tire in the championship rounds. Bute did look awful against Froch, but until shown otherwise, reasonable people would treat that fight as an anomaly. The fact that the majority of people think that Eubank was a superior fighter to Bute proves that: a) Most people are clueless. And b) Compared to Eubank, Bute isn't a hypejob at all.
He got his ass knocked out by Andrade. Eubank will always top trump Bute. On a personal note I like Bute , one of the good guys.
You go on about people being clueless but most people with a clue know that he was never the same after Watson, and even his critics accepted that he didn't have the same killer instinct. Tell me,how many fights did he have at 168 before the Watson tragedy?
After a ridiculous opening statement I didnt bother to read the rest, you clearly dont have a clue & have nothing worthwhile to say. As someone who grew up watching Eubank I doubt there's anything you can tell me about him I dont already know. Educate yourself www.youtube.com
you asked me what froch achieved that eubank didnt, which was a leading question and one you cant win i dont mean any disrespect, but its because you grew up watching eubank that you find it hard to burst that bubble on an international boxing forum its the same thing with british posters who think joe calzaghe was the next coming and only heard their friends saying how great he was, but then they get on here and its completely different
Holy ****ing myth, Batman! Eubank was EXACTLY the same fighter after the Watson fight, the only thing different is that he lost punching power, much like Benn. That's it! There was no psyché differences, and even if there were like people say, he was unable to hurt people to be reluctant to finish them. On the few occasions he did hurt people like vs. Sam Storey, the total lack of reluctance to finish them was there to be seen.
:rofl laughable post. Bootay hits harder how? Besides even IF that were true Eubanks cheen was p4p one of the best in the business. Bootay was destroyed by the FIRST top fighter he fought. There are levels in boxing and Chris Eubank was LEVELS above Lucian Bootay. Bootay is a bum and and a hype job. He's proved nothing in this sport. He could not live in Eubanks world. Eubank renders Bootay unconscious in 4.
