"This is my dream, fighting on HBO. I'm happy now," Golovkin said. "Doesn't matter who's next. I'm ready now. Ï am ready for anyone and that includes the winner of Martinez and Chavez Jr. I hope to be back in December."

However, it might be against Daniel Geale, who defeated Felix Sturm Saturday in Germany to win the WBA Super Middleweight title. On Thursday the WBA ordered the winner of the two WBA title fights to meet by the end of the year.

The WBA is scum but it looks like they ordered the winners to fight each other on Thursday.

Does that mean that this is going to become a trend?

Will Alexander Povetkin now have to grow a pair and fight Wladimir Klitschko?
Will Karoly Balszay now fight Andre Ward?

I say if the WBA are trying to get rid of their failed ******* child then by all means go for it

Geale pretends he has a good defense and is slick but he isn't, he's very hittable. He relies on volume, has little power and is probably even smaller than Golovkin. Golovkin stops him inside 7 rounds.

Golovkin beat him as an amateur btw.

I hope they can make Golovkin - Geale but I have my doubts. Geale's people will be smart enough to pay step-aside money to Golovkin and get an easy defense in first.

Geale has 20 days to decide if he vacates the WBA belt or fights Golovkin.

Golovkin also said he will attend the Martinez-Chavez fight.

He was pretending pretty well in his fight today in that case. Geale looked good and sturm struggled to land anything meaningful in their fight.

I voted Geale UD but mainly because I'm a self confessed nuthugger  golo looked like a beast today but Gealzaghe would fare much better than proska imo

No way Golovkin stops geale IMO. Decision either way in a decent fight, with geale to maybe steal it later rnds

Not really. Sturm had a good connect % (alot better than Geale's) and alot of the rounds he won was for exactly that reason. I was impressed with Geale today he is just a poor style matchup against Golovkin. It's a pretty clear swarmer without much power vs slugger with one punch power matchup.

I think Geale IS slick.Congrats to him,but i dont think anybody at the weight now can beat Golovkin. In an earlier discussion i asked who of todays lot could beat McCallum or Graham.Think this one would be at least competitive. If he doesnt run out of time think he may have to move up to get opponents.Carl Froch?
Regarding Prokza, think hes given the lie to those in earlier threads. He had more heart than was good for him, wanted to carry on for Gods sake.Did himself and his country proud.Typical.
When the commentator mentioned Golovkins amateur wins over Bute and PEREZ I it would be interesting to know about his am career.Wondering if
Vysoysky,or anybody else, could tell us any more.
