Degale vs Magee

    Who takes this one? Both fighters at different stages of their career and having operated at completely different levels but at this point in time I don't think their is too much difference between them. Magee's only two loses since 2005 have been against Bute and Froch so not bad company and if Degale could pull this off it would be a major scalp. Degale hasn't looked great as a pro in his recent fights but I feel there is much more to give from him and if he could raise his level he could potentially cause Magee a few problems. Personally I see Degale just sneaking by in a closely fought contest where Magee puts him down at some point

    Degale should face Anderson first.

    I have no idea why more people do not call for this fight.

    There are very few domestic scraps I would rather see than Degale Anderson.

    DeGale i think would win, be a tough fight but i think he'd just have enough to take it on points.

    It would be a close fights but at this point Degale makes too many mistakes and Magee would have the experience to exploit that and pick him off

    I still have faith in James, I think on skill he is a class above, I truly think him and Groves have got what it takes, skill wise.

    And thus i dont see the groves "loss" as a bad one. And I don't see much difference (if any) between their levels.

    but more worrying is how Degale has behaved since then.

    In fact BOTH of them have done nothing in the 18 months since that fight, poor. very poor.

    But still, Magee is solid but he's the type of fighter Degale and groves should be able to get through at this point

    Good post. I think both of them have had good experiences since then (Groves fighting in the states and getting two HL reel KOs and Degale getting the European away from home) but nowhere near the sort of fights they should have. Still feel Degale will go further out of the two.

    Degales biggest problem IMO is his maturity/attitude.

    I like Magee and this would be a big test , he is much better than anyone he has faced.

    Im still undecided on if Degale beat Piotr.

    I think Magee is better as both DeGale and Groves. Beating both on points.

    :deal Exactly this. Although I know why this hasn't been made from Degale's side. Could be a very uncomfortable night for him!!

    Degale on points for me. I think he will be too quick for Magee. Magee struggled with Bute's hand speed.

    Froch should have fought Kenny Anderson imo.

    Nobody gives a **** about Mack

    you can bet an army of scotsman would have come down to Nottingham to cheer on their boy as he got blasted all over the ring by the cobra

    Froch v Anderson sounds like a VVarren fight.

    Going by that logic Hickey Froch should've fought Groves/Degale.
