I dont know man on 1 hand you got Khan getting stopped but showing heart, then you got Ortiz going full ****** against Floyd and then Quitting after getting his **** pushed in....................maybe they should fight each other in their return bout
tough one. they both got a long way back. luckily, mr. glass heart and mr. glass chin are very exciting fighters. they'll make nice stepping stones for GBP up and comers.
Khan is the obvious answer for me because expectations were so much higher for him than Ortiz. Sure, everyone expected Ortiz to be world champion at some point but noone expected p4p greatness from him like with Khan.
Ortiz exceeded his expectations with the berto win imo. The media have hyped Khan up and his back to back losses have really taken their toll
Khan losing back to back, once by a brutal early KO (not the first time with that, either), would take it for me. People had crazy expectations for Khan to be a P4P mainstay and one of the stars of the sport. Don't know what they saw, or should I say, I know what they didn't see. People only expected Ortiz to fight with his same style and be in very entertaining fights, win or lose. He is still just that, and if I do say, the broken jaw TKO loss should take less out of his long term gas tank than Khan's 3 KD pounding he took.
let's see, ortiz 1. lost a huge payday in the canelo fight. 2. got his jaw smashed, side lining him for a long time. 3. quit once again in the eyes of many. khan 1. betrayed by his glass jaw once again. ortiz
Both of them will bounce back. Ortiz is more humble though and has underated boxing skills imo. I would say Khan as he has to live with that suspect chin for the rest of his career... that said he makes amaeturish mistakes... who throws weak ass flurries and uppercuts from the outside. No wonder 6 toes slow mo Garcia caught him.
