Lewis got caught twice by huge punches. That's doesn't make him fragile.

Obviously we all need to establish a common definition of fragile before we can have a conversation about this.

I would define fragile as easily cracked, or a general lack of durability.

I would call Louis or Trinidad or Patterson "Fragile" before Lewis, but only Louis would be considered to be the top of the tier.

Hearns happened to be stopped by either ATG's in Leonard and Hagler, or knocked down/KO'd by huge punchers/punches in Roldan and Barkley. It's not like he wilted consistently or was consistently knocked down/KO'd...

Same goes for Lewis. He took enough big punches and fought through enough to be safe from any accusations of fragility....

    Joe Louis.
Wlad (while underrated chin, it still is probably average)
    David Haye as a cruiser.

Sugar Nikolai Valuev... (for a yeti):rofl

Patterson did fairly damned well against Chuvalo, Quarry, Machen, and several other guys that would be big names in what some people consider the deepest heavyweight division ever.

But survived & in most people`s opinion won the fight + it is Sugar Ray Leonard we`re talking about here, a top 10 fighter on ability & one of the best finishers of the past 40 years.... this fight (past Hearns best don`t forget) actually helps more than hinders his case to not be included in this thread IMO.

Chuvalo wasn't very elite though, excellent defence and most likely a pure iron chin. (Hard to say as his defence was too good to test it)

Patterson is upper tier H2H at light heavyweight. Although I'm not sure he would be considered fragile in that division (as Bob Foster isn't).

Yeah he hurt him pretty bad and his legs were gone, had to use exesive holding to regain his senses and got a point taken off him, James 'the heat' Kitchen never fired up or showed any great urgency and Hearns clawed his way back winning a SD

Kitchen. I thought that was it but doubted myself for it sounding too odd

I admittedly haven't really given much thought or time into Tommy at super middle bar the Ray rematch (felt Tommy won handily)
