I would definetly go with Chambers even though he appears to me as a poor version of Chris Byrd. Honestly, the U.S HW prospects at this moment remain to wish for much much better.:-(

Chambers has to be considered the best prospect; he has great conditioning (even though he carries that spare tire around his midsection). Good skills, good beard (so far at least), good ring generalship. I would like to see him in against another top 15 heavyweight soon. I would put him in against the loser of Krasniqi-Thompson or up against Mc-Call or Sam. He beats all in my opinion. I would stay away from W. Klitschko for the time being, maybe down the road but not right now.

 

I think Johnathan Banks.

Manny is honing him as a cruiserweight, but eventually will bring him to the heavies with sound technique and experience.

Other than that....I'll go with Eddie Chambers. Technically sound with good defense.....that alone should move him up with this current HW crop.

Another? When was the first time he faced a top 15 opponent? Despite having a pretty long ledger of opponents, the guys he's faced have been even weaker than Fields, Walker or Arreola.

My counterargument on Chambers is that he's flat-footed, feather-fisted and doesn't have a great workrate. Once a guy who can stick and move or who can bang inside and has a chin fights him, he'll be destroyed, and he won't even have a puncher's chance.

 

I missed the part about " another top 15 opponent?" He has not even faced a Top 25 opponent yet.

 

It's a sad list, isn't it? BTW, David Rodriguez should be considered, or at least on the list And Tye Fields is a joke, he will lose badly to Kali Meehan next month.

 

chambers has the most talent and abilty that i have seen.

but someone like world 25 or so dimeterenko with his long arms and jab would beat chambers from range, but styles make fights and there are many fighters who chambers can beat fairly easily who would give dimetrenko a hard fight.

Ciristobal Arreola This guy has gotten better each time out, I think he is a hopefull prospect here and he is Mexican, its about time we have a REAL Latino Champion
