Hold on, Hatton hasn't fought bums all his career and Floyd Mayweather is in another stratosphere from David Haye at this time.

Hatton's resume doesn't put him anywhere near where all the hypers and nuthuggers try to put him. I'm just pointing out how the situation of enzo beating haye was as laughable as people thinking hatton had a shot.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to state that my previous post was still spot on.

the situation of enzo beating haye was as laughable as people thinking hatton had a shot.

    Agreed :good

What people forget is that if Pavlik did not beat the count in round two vs Taylor in the first fight then a lot of people on here would have been calling him a 'glass-jawed journeyman'

wrong pavlik has true talent, heart and determination.....something enzo lacks. But at least enzo try's to run his mouth to make his sound much better to the press then he ever could be.

I'm so glad he backed up all the stuff he said leading to the fight....

Did enzo even show up? answer that?

Not sure about that sunshine. Try getting hit over the head by a 'cruiserweight' who weighs more like a heavyweight by the time he gets in the ring and see how you react before questioning peoples's heart

Well said that man. As I just said in another thread, I had the feeling cos Enzo lost all this bull**** would start. At the end of the day, Maccarinelli took a big risk to fight the best fighter in his division & he lost. As boxing fans we should be applauding Enzo Mac for risking his belt to take on the best, not mocking him cos he lost. Thanks to Enzo Mac & David Haye, we fans got to see two of the best in the division take each other on to see who was the best of the best, & Haye won.

Now to see these threads labelling Maccarinelli as a journeyman truly saddens me. Macarinelli could have took an easier route than Haye & make a lot of money, but he was willing to put it all on the line to prove he was the best. The big welshman had balls to travel to London to fight Haye in his hometown.
So Enzo lost, but to label him a journeyman? I despair for boxing if this is the new generation of fan who have no respect for fighters who take risks.

Enzo put it on the line with the recognised best in the division and came second. Big ****ing deal. Good on him for taking the chance.

He did show a little inexperience or lack of ring savvy in not staying down for a bit longer when his legs were not answering the helm but hey, I'd prolly not be thinking straight if I'd have taken those shots either.

Frankly there is no one at cruiser that could handle Haye. Losing to him means exactly nothing. How Enzo comes back from this will say a lot about the man though.

    Good shout mate ;)

sometimes you cant win, people complain if you take the easy route then if you take the hard route they stil complain. It takes a lot of guts to step through those ropes ,especially against the best in the division.

Macarinelli is no Pavlik that is for sure and Pavlik got up used ring intelligence survived adjusted and won. Maccarinelli was overrated. He could not beat Haye. They only took the match because they thought Haye was dead at the weight but he sure fooled them by keeping his weight in check and continuing training after the Mormeck fight. It was like Lennox Lewis and Glenn McCory.

I give full credit to Enzo Maccarinelli for taking the fight though I do believe Frank Warren, Sports Network and Enzo Calzaghe only took the fight because they thought Haye would be dead at the weight.

Enzo Maccarinelli is a good kid. I have seen him live and yes there is power in the left hook but he has always been vulnerable as well. He should defintely stay at Cruiserweight.

I got no problems with your take on things Olu, your a smart guy who knows your boxing, & I agree that Haye fooled Warren into thinking he was 'there for the taking' Warren was made to look a fool after the fight when the guy from the BBC asked him if he would keep to his word & quit boxing like Warren promised he would if Enzo lost. Warren just mumbled a lot of **** in response. As for Enzo Calzaghe? I heard he didnt even congratulate Haye after his win. What a twat. Its the one plus I took from the fight, Haye shut Warren & Enzo Calzaghes mouths.

However, I just feel sorry for Maccarinelli that cos Haye beat him easily, hes now being mocked on ESB. For people to call him a glass jawed joke is harsh considering who he lost to. Maybe he is, & it is I who is wrong. But I think Maccarinelli doesnt deserve to be kicked whilst hes down.
