Interesting fight, Conquest is clearly better than the fighters who have held the British cruiser title over the past year (Williams, McPhilbin, Enzo) yet hasn't been able to get his shot. Conquest sparked out Williams early on last time out (Williams does have poor punch resistance though) while Tims did well against Haapoja in Finland last time out and lost a close decision. I'll go with Conquest UD, he seems to have improved a lot lately and Tims has not beaten anyone of note, though he is clearly durable. Could be a good scrap this, I didn't see it but Haapoja v Tims was an entertaining one (apparently).
I would have liked to have seen Conquest v McPhilbin, that seemed like the natural direction to go considering they'd both recently defeated Leon Williams. Wonder why it didn't happen, I don't like the look of this one...
In fairness, Jon-Lewis Dickinson beat Matty Askin in an eliminator, and Askin is clearly better than Williams, so he deserved his shot ahead of Conquest. Conquest would be a good first defence for Dickinson (he will beat the laughably unskilled McPhilbin who is one of the worst fighters ever to hold a Lonsdale belt).
Not so much of the "proper Ireland" yank:twisted: But seriously look out for a young Belfast prospect called Anthony Cacace [of Italian extraction] on the undercard. He was a terrific amateur, but is punching with real venom as a pro. And on the main event I expect a close fought affair with Conquest edging it on points.
