Dawson looks in good shape. Ward will have a very tough fight.
I say it's a 50/50 fight. I'm looking forward to see it due their style and mostly to see how Ward will manage in this fight against a skilled, fast, bigger and stroger fighter !:yep

Definitely looked like he meant business.

Exactly. Dawson wasn't flinching in the staredown so Ward was the first to say something to break it up.

    Consider what he's went through!

    * He was on the fast track to elite P4P status until he was derailed by Pascal.

    * Then he had to sit on the sidelines while Pascal took what he perceived as an easier money fight with B-Hops.

    * Then B-Hops was on the short end of a draw that most (myself included) believed he won.

    * Chad was then forced to wait even longer, as Hopkins got the rematch with Pascal first - with the promise he'd get the winner.

    * He finally gets B-Hops, and we have that unsatisfying ending where it's ruled a TKO2 win for Chad

    * Decision is overturned. No Contest.

    * UNcertainty in whether there would even be a Hopkins rematch.

    * Wins the Hopkins rematch, immediately calls out Dawson, claims he will concede whatever Ward wants, and then he goes through with everything he said.

Seriously, this man is trying to get back to where he was, and he's outright GOING AFTER some of the most difficult style challenges out there in guys like Hopkins and Ward.

People forget how highly regarded Dawson once was.

Yeah! He lost to Pascal, and he has nobody to blame but himself on that.

But everything he's done since the Pascal loss - he has exhibited the EXACT type of mental strength and determination that he was always criticized for lacking. This BUILDS CHARACTER!

Chad is not coming to lose, and as his $600k purse suggests, he isn't in this for the money.

Ward's Team assumed Chad would have trouble at 168, or they'd have ventured up (safe assumption, especially after Froch derailed Bute leaving no unfinished business for Ward at 168 ).

As Chad himself said, they may have made a big ****ing mistake here.

    We'll find out tomorrow.

I see this as a tactical chess match for the ages and a super competitive fight!

But I believe Chad is hungry and that we will finally see him "put it all together on the same night".

May the best man win, and may we the fans be thoroughly entertained whoever wins!

    :smoke

Agreed with everything except that he liked like utter **** against Diacanu. He acted like he meant business today but i'm still not completely convinced he has shed his motivational lapses. Hehad the talent to take both Pascal and Diacanu out but look at the results. Ward never had such issues. He leaves nothing to chance. He thinks like a champion. But no doubt a motivated Dawson would give anyone hell.

  10. what a post! i knew everything u said was true, but never put much thought into it. ****, his back is against the wall and he is going all in. originally, i was rooting for ward(probably still am) but this post makes me want to roll with the underdog. yep, this is going to be a fight to remember, because as hungry as Dawson is, Ward is just as hungry and will not lay down for nobody. this is his big break on HBO and Chad is standing in his way to stardom.

god i cant wait for this. it's going to be super competitve, i can feel it. i think Ward edges it convincingly but who knows. gonna be one helluva chess match
