Just before the start of the 2nd semi final in the US Open I had a look at the outright betting. Djokavic was 1/2 Murray was 6/4 and Ferrer was 25/1.

Stuck a fiver on Ferrer now it's in to 12/1 coz of the score in the 1st set. Just thought if he causes the upset and gets to the final he's got a real chance against Murray.

Would like Murray to win but with his temperament in major finals.......

25's seemed worth a bet and it's only a fiver so **** it.

wow, my first two have come in, only put the bet on for a laugh really but surely I can lock a bit of profit in some how?

    ward inside 12 @11/2
    Portsmouth @5/1

    djokavic 4/5
    martinez inside 12 @10/3

Just lay martinez KO if u want to lock in profit, just backing chavez wont guarantee a win, arguably as good as with Arum in his corner though. Depends how much u stand to win really m how much that is to u

Even by my own very low standards, that turned out to be a horrible bet.

I would win 310 if Sergio won inside 12. I don't know about lays but I could keep an eye on things in play to cover myself a little.

Bet for the first time in 6 months on Saturday...

Had £2.50 change so put it in the roulette took out £15.
Done £5 horse bets and one called Society Rock won, had £1.50 on it at 10/1.

Ended up £25 up so not bad, still not going to get back to betting 25% of my wages every week again though.

Hard to cover in play really but nothing wrong with letting it run. Laying is just backing against the outcome, so if you lay Martinez KO you win as long as Martinez doesn't win by KO. It's 4.5 on betfair at the minute so you could guarantee a return of just shy of £70 either way, or you could play around with in a bit and leave more on the KO i.e. guarantee around £30 on any outcome other than Martinez KO which would still leave a potential £200 win on Martinez. Depends how confident you are on the bet and how much you'd be happy to win...

Martinez ko at 7/2 is where the money is at, not sure if he can do it but the odds are too nice for me to not put it on n he sparks Chavez out

Had a random punt on Djokovic at 5/2 in play, now just for Murray to do his usual choking act (**** odds btw considering he was 2 sets and a game down when I put it on, I suppose everyone was thinking the same thing).

Hernandez at 1/3 looks good to build a weekend accumilator arround. Should have way too much for Ross.

    Anyone fancy Molitor at 3's?
