    1) Chavez has never demonstrated the abilty to do either in any sort of educated approach.

    2) If Chavez has got good power in both hands then Sturm must be Julian Jackson. Those two things aside i do think Chavez could possibly win, even by stoppage, if Sergio gets too aggressive doesn't box and spends too much time in the pocket trying to get the KO himself.

If they slug it out I think Sergio will have him tbh. His style is way too awkward and he carries power in both hands, dont think Jr can handle that.

I said it after i saw the Lee fight that Martinez would be in trouble. Chavez is going to win.

Genaro, how can you say Martinez struggled with "Eurobums" when Chavez pretty much drew with Zbik but of course he got the decision?

Chavez Jr has the style and CHIN to take martinez best shots. Martinez does not. He grabs, lunges and falls down all the damn time. He will go down and doesnt have the survival skills or elusiveness to avoid a ref stoppage. He cant run for 12 rds so expect him to take a vicious beating. Im not much of a Chavez fan but i know he can and will beat Sergio.

My point is that Martinez isnt this beast everyone thinks he is. He gets hit a lot. He falls on the canvas a lot due to his poor balance. He isnt this elusive defensive fighter that can box his way to a decision. He needs a ko to win. If he ends up on the ropes he will be in a lot of trouble. While Jr looks more impressive each time out, Sergio hasnt looked so good. Im not impressed thats for sure. I see Sergio tiring from running and trying to muscle Jr off of him. His inside game is not impressive and his style will play into Jrs hands. I see no way Martinez wins unless he can cut Jr or ko him.

I hope you realize that Zbik landed 100 punches on Chavez Jr during the 1st 2 rounds. Zbik has no power, Martinez does. Martinez will annihilate Chavez Jr before the 6th.

The key to this fight is whether Martinez can hit Jr. with something to slow him down. If he can, this will be a great fight. If not, it will be a long (or maybe short) night for Martinez.

Sergio has/had some of the qualities to be able to extend this type of fight by frustrating Chavez by utilizing his best asset: Speed.
But by all accounts & all the talk thus far sounds like Sergio has ZERO respect for Jr. & is going in with the "ain't no way a snot nosed 26 year old kid gonna beat me" mentality.

    Could get Sergio touched up.
