Lucas is now pretty much guaranteed a shot at the WBC belt.Why the funk should he take a fight before then when he's worked so hard to get in this position?Khan isn't held in much esteem by that shitehouse Sulaiman so unless it's for the vacant title(if Garcia vacates,and still unlikely Khan will be in the mix) he has no reason to fight Khan for some time.
Don't be surprised if Amir tries to spin that into "LMM wants no part of me" though.

I think what he means is that Lucas is a well-schooled, clinical pressure fighter as opposed to a brawler/slugger like Maidana...who Khan struggled with. The argument goes that if Khan struggled with someone as crude as Maidana, what will happen to him against someone with Matthysse's pedigree?

Just watched the video, and he's not calling out Matthysse. Don't get confused. He was put in a position where he had to mention possible opponents, and it was almost like Matthysse accidentally came out of his mouth since he just had a very recent win. Very much doubt that he, or his team, have seriously considered him as an opponent.

So, it wasn't quite a: "Yo, Matthysse, I challenge you at a 140 pounds. Come break down this wall, baby". More like a "Yeah there's a few opponents out there, Matthysse [lulz **** that!] one of them"
