I believe there's a reason Arum openly stated he ducked Martinez previously only to take the fight now. They definitely see something now that would make them go for it.
Barker and Macklin would beat Jr into a fair fight with unbiased ref and judges. Maravilla T.K.O'd both ! :yep
the way boxing is going i wouldnt be surprised to see his father jump in the ring and hit him in the head with a chair and hold Martinezs hand up
People will say Jr. was on roids or that Martinez was shot. I really dont think Jr. will ever get credit for what he will accomplish in boxing until years after he retires.
Chavez' haters will just label Sergio as washed up and will claim they never believed in the argentinian fraud to begin with, even if they were riding his dick all along.
A win over Martinez would be a massive boost for his reputation. He got some stick for his level of opposition in the past (and rightly so), but if he somehow manages to beat Sergio (without major judging/drugs controversy), his status as a champion would be legit. Of course, haters will always find excuses to doubt his ability (which can be said for pretty much every known boxer in the world, ever), but after beating the top guy in the division, no sane boxing fan would be able dispute his status in the rankings. I have my doubts he can win, though. I can see a far more likely scenario where Jr loses to Sergio in an exciting and competitive fight. I think both boxers would profit from that - Martinez gets his win, and Chavez would still get some credit and build on it.
If Chavez Jr win without any doubt i will definitly consider him has a true champion and in my top 15 P4P
