**** form and yeah he isn't deadlifting 3x his bodyweight or anything but he might've just started strength training, you never know. Also, lol at all the experts who think boxers shouldn't deadlift. There's no better exercise for getting stronger than deadlifts except for squats and there is literally no disadvantage to being stronger if you're a sportsman of any kind.
I always get a kick out of these gym fail videos :rofl [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnnOWfj2TW4[/ame]
Hes not really that big, Hes 250 and 6'9. Thats not that huge for someone of that height. Also the taller you are,the harder it is to deadlift. Simple law of the lever.
He's tall enough that doing rack pulls would be like a deadlift for normal people anyway. Should just switch to them.
Deadlift is the king as far as exercises for strength go It works every muscle from your heel to your neck, and is especially good for your quads, glutes, and core and without straps it gives you a vice like grip. Ideally you want to keep your head straight, shoulders tucked back, and most importantly keep the back as straight as possible, otherwise you are risking serious injury I know too many people who got ****ed and stopped working out due to injuries resulting from poor DL form
With a lot of practice, a guy of any height can perform the DL properly, you just need to be patient and keep yourself honest. Maybe tyson should consider doing sumo deadliest instead, much easier for tall lanky guys, plus it gives you that explosive speed in your hips that you want as a pro athlete. Most sprinters do sumo DLs, apparently it's the fastest way to increase sprinting speed.
He is flirting with a serious back injury doing 1 rep's with that kind of technique. Also, instead of deadlifting he should be doing clean/snatch for training explosiveness. Deadlifts will make him even slower than he is today.
Fury quit drinking and partying and now he trains in beast mode at all times. Tyson Fury is like a real life Ivan Drago. Fury has the ability to be the next great Heavyweight even Emmanuel Steward predicted that actually.
