I'm excited as well. It's a much better matchup than the proposed Kirilov fight being dicussed. Can't wait to see Mijares school Munoz.. I wonder what else will be in the undercard.

 

Theres an article about this fight on the espn website. This will be the first 115pd. unification fight since Johnny Tapia and Danny Romero in July 18, 1997. It's been almost 11 years!! I didn't know it's been that long.

 

Wow. i didn't even realize it was that long. i'm really happy for the lighter weights. they are getting their act together and it seems that eveyone is willing to face everybody else. except for some of the japanese champions. anyway, i feel we will see more of these unifications throughout the year. the lighter weights will deliver what the heavies can't and that is all out action.
