Winchester ducks low, past the waist, knuckles curled around the top of his head, and Medina plants a hard left hook to the body. Winchester is backed up to the ropes, and takes another VICIOUS left hook to the body. Another! Winchester is angry as much as hurt and jabs his way off the ropes. Medina circles up on his toes, moving left, now right, keeping Winchester spinning, huffing, and puffing. Very nice boxing/punching (particularly body punching) clinic by Medina here on a C+ level opponent.

Medina is putting together uppercuts as he walks Winchester into a corner. Weak jabs to the head and body by Winchester, following through with them but not able to get any real snap. Medina hangs back and lets him fall short and jabs back at him. Winchester flops against him for a brief clinch. Winchester plods to his left, then lets a combination go as he anticipates Medina moving forward. Instead Medina hits the brakes and waits, then catches Winchester with a pair of uppercuts to the body before getting tied up. The ref splits them. A pair of hooks to the head by Medina as Winchester is trying to place a high jab. Stiff jab by Medina. Double hook to the cheek, right uppercut to the body by Medina. Jabs between the eyes by Medina. Winchester now has a cut on his brow. BIG slapping overhand flurry by Winchester, all sound and fury signifying nothing as his wrists bend and gloves fold in on themselves against Medina's shoulders and arms.

Winchester is trying to take the fight to Medina, putting up a high jab and line drive rights as Medina gives ground. Medina isn't getting hit cleanly, but isn't countering either and is letting Winchester keep the lead. Flush overhand right by Winchester. Medina backs up and jabs. Another flush right by Winchester!! HARD rights to the body by Medina after a brisk step outside. 1-2 to the face by Medina. Winchester had some very solid momentum built up halfway through the round and was making a case for taking it, but Medina is rallying back. Right hand over the top by Winchester. Left hook to the body by Medina. Clapping shots to the neck by Winchester. Left hook to the body by Medina.
