what do you mean mayweather retire? he said before this fight he isent even sure if he is coming back or not.. now you are going to twist it around?

i personally dont think mayweathers coming back.. he is getting old.. his legs arent as good anymore if he had a loss on his record he prob would continue on but it would be a shame for him to retire after loosing a fight at the end of his career when he is clearly passed it

Mayweather won't, nor should he have to take a big risk like Martinez at this stage of his career.

I would love to see nothing more than to see Mayweather get beat. But what's the point now. He's past his prime so it won't have the same Mustar.

Mayweather knows he struggled with Miguel Cotto, and i don't think he liked it one bit. Massive props for gritting it out and getting the win but i don't see him to rush to do it again anytime soon.

If there's a big money easy fight out there i'm sure he'd take it. But I doubt he'll fight Alvarez or Martinez.

We are talking about a MW beating a WW...this is how much respect Floyd has...people are searching for guys to beat him who's next Ward? Sergio won't even fight a guy 1 divsion up (Dirrell/Ward)....

Either way you know what...I want the fight now...throw his ol ass in with Foyd Mayweather...Money May retires him....Mark My Words...TKO 11...cuts...

Mayweather just fought at 154, and has won a title at the weight. 154 is where Martinez should be fighting at.

Mayweather vs Martinez makes a hell lot more sense then Martinez vs Ward does.

If he Should be fighting there, why does he not? If he was still at 154lbs and Mayweather won a title but refused to fight him...I would call Money a straight Duck...but lets not fool ourselves Mayweather is a Welter weight.

i thought he has looked sloppy as **** both times he has gone to 154 and his recent fight there was worse because of his age

the guys limit is 147 to fight to the fullest of his ability, you put may in with sergio how much is the weight come fight night going to be?

Floyd v Martinez would be another Mega Fight.

Floyd needs to cash in the manny and martinez cheque. That would be close to 100 mil.

We just saw what happens when a fighter goes up two weight divisions (a 140lbs fighter weighs 153lbs at weigh-in) and looked slow and sluggish. But everyone wants Martinez vs Mayweather at 160lbs (go from 147 to 160) just so they can get the result they've been waiting to see for years. And if that happens, this would somehow means that Floyd was never any good. SMH!!!

Exactly what I mean, these fickle fans. Furthermore when Mayweather retires Martinez..these same people will say Sergio was too old, cut weight or worst "JCC Jr knocked him down, of course Mayweather was going to beat him"...SMH

    Excellent post brother.

If I were Mayweather, I might rather fight Sergio than Canelo.

Martinez is fading. Canelo can't box that well, but he can really hurt you if he hits you.

Honestly, I think a well-preserved Mayweather beats either one right now.
