He's still a very active fighter, he'd look like a dick if he was criticizing guys who are at or around his weight class. I liked that he was giving props and his insights were good for a newbie.
love paulie, glad he got his shot ive been saying for a while how great of a commentator he could become
Paulie commentates for Showtime, I think he is trying to fill in for Antonio. I loved Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson last card better than Paulie. He was excellent in that Matthaysse fight.
He's been doing a great job for a while now for various outlets. I guess with Tarver pulling a dumbass, this opens a door at Showtime for Paulie, he deserves it, he's actually really good at breaking stuff down in an easy to understand way for the casual fan. I think he has a good future in it.
Always thought Paulie would be good at this thing. He has given interviews to ESNEWS and other outlets for a while now and seems real cool. I'm also glad Showtime added in a boxer and not another writer. They need more boxers involved with giving "expert" advise. That's the way ESPN does it. Hire the Athletes who have participated in what you are watching. Glad he didn't go full Guido either. Look like someone from Milan and not Brooklyn.
I was impressed with Paulie last night. He speaks very well and is sharp at explaining things clearly and quickly. He should stick with it, he's a natural.
Ehh... I thought Too Sharp wasn't all that sharp. He was awkward at times trying to find a place to speak, and he isn't all that well spoken.
