people like you are idiots..... roach is a genius when chavez wins, but since he got his ass kicked all over the ring by a better fighter , dumping roach is now the answer? :rofl
Where did I even come close to suggesting that? :think In simple terms, Chavez was not good enough to use the jab effectively against Martinez. In simpler terms, his jab is ****. Your reading comprehension is not great. Chavez walked Lee down in straight lines and was successful in doing so because Lee's movement is not as good as Martinez's. Chavez tried to do the exact same thing to Martinez, walk him down in straight lines without using shots to close the distance. He was naive enough to believe he could corner someone with such good movement by walking straight to them. My main point being. I have no doubt that Roach will have told Chavez to use the jab, to close the distance by throwing shots, etc. But Chavez simply wasn't good enough to employ the tactics.
he should get robert garcia, but i dont think robert would put up with his ****, if he listens like maidana did he'll improve loads
CHAVEZ doesn't listen. At one point in the corner, CHAVEZ was responding to corner advice by going "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" except he was screaming in annoyance.
Hence why I want him to dump Roach in the first place. Chavez has been with Roach for years. And he has yet to learn an effective jab. Which should be basic ****. Give me proof. And I beleive Chavez is good enough. He showed it in the 12th. The only thing keeping him down. Is his one dimensional trainer.
never taking blame and always blaming others. thats an idiot. so you **** off and quit bitching This content is protected
sorry, thats the price you pay when making stupid ass threads with no merit This content is protected
I think Roach did a good job, he just didn't get the results from his fighter. He told Chavez to punch with Sergio instead of waiting and that was the best possible strategy from the start of the fight. Whenever Chavez would throw, he usually landed. I might be wrong but I believe he had a very high connect percentage. Chavez simply didn't throw enough and got caught up being a spectator and guessing too much about what Sergio was going to do instead of simply fighting. Other then pulling a pro wrestling move and grabbing Sergio's feet from outside the ring, there was nothing else Roach could have done to help his guy win.
You really can't blame Roach. Chavez is a spoiled little ***** and won't listen to anyone, not even his own father. In between rounds when Roach was trying to tell him what he needed to do he just said yeah yeah yeah
