As the Alanis Morissette song goes ' isn't i ironic' I just don't see how you can be so desperate and try to twist an outstanding performance by Sergio Martinez on an opponent nearly twice his size and weight, into 'just outpointing him' and 'tired, hurt, with a broken hand (er, maybe by pulverising Chaves, er, Shavez, er, what's his name again, face to bits! tee hee)!! Truly ironic. You guys, your so funny.......
Except that Rocky wasn't an over hyped fighter who gained a title based on politics and his fathers name who went into the biggest fight of his life gun shy and didn't bother to mount an offense until he landed an unlikely punch in the closing round of the fight.
So the guy who dominated the fight and was still out landing shots even after a knock down is the loser? You Mexicans are a wacky bunch..
Let's see Chavez Jr. man up and start banging against Froch, Cloud, Bute, Ward, and the rest of people at his natural fighting weight.
Getting completely outboxed and mashed up for 11 rounds, but then managing to land his only big punch of the fight on a clearly fatigued Martinez who was trying for a stoppage himself when his defence was at its worst in the whole fight. This somehow gives Chavez the moral victory? What kind of imbecile could possibly actually believe that? Chavez doesn't belong anywhere near the elite fighters of the devision. I mean, the fact he hurt Martinez but still couldn't finish him. When he was hurt and at his most vulnerable he chose to go toe to toe with Chavez and he still couldn't finish the job when Martinez was prime for the taking. Just goes to show how **** Chavez really is. Simple really.
