It's obvious Martinez is a class (or two) above Jr. In a rematch, Martinez is extra careful in the later rounds to not to get caught. Which means, he simply will not get caught. Not only that, there probably won't be a headbutt. Don't get me wrong, I like Jr and think he's an exciting fighter to watch, just not against people who can box with their legs.
In that case Mayweather should rematch Mosley. One good round isnt enough to get a rematch. Martinez outclassed him.
because he barely survived in the only round that junior threw punches and maranina didn't get on his bicycle
Because Chavez and his idiot fans think that since he knocked Martinez down one time that it means he did so well in the fight and will win the rematch. They seem to forget that Martinez dominated him for 11 1/2 rounds before that.
If thats fighting on your bicycle i would hate to see him being aggressive. STFU with that ****. Bicycle please.......
Because its a fun fight, with two stars, that makes a lot of money for everyone involved...the better question is why not rematch?
Well, in my opinion it isn't a fun fight because the rematch will be 12 rounds of domination instead of 11. I figured most fans would recognize and not want the rematch.
come on man their were rounds in which martinez threw one punch and ran alot, he was never planted on the canvas always looking tom get on the move, chavez had a stupid game plan and didn't throw punches in almost every roubd for the first minute and a half, he never really pressured but his chin is great and maravilla's isn't the few punches he received always made damage, i would like to see a rematch because you always learn more from a defeat than a victory and chavez needed this defeat to really become a boxer, and one other thing why is everone saying canelo can beat martinez or should fight him, he beat a bloated jr welter he is even more protected and hyped than chavez
There could be a rematch because the fight has the whole Judah/Spinks angle to it. One guy getting outboxed for most of the fight to come back and do the only real damage in the fight at the end when he finally decides to go for broke. Rematch sells itself. You got one side of people who feels Chavez will pick it up earlier and do more while others think Sergio will continue where he left off. Me personally I have no problems with a rematch. I wouldn't mind if they both fought on the same card and built it up a lil more too.
$ Chavez just didnt throw. If he would have taken some chances and just thrown more early on (sometime before the 12th rnd) I think it would have been quite different.
the one and only reason is the millions the rematch could possibly make, but nobody wants to see another one-sided ass-whooping like last night
