I am still not impressed with Sergio Martinez. Does anyone else feel the same?

Or you can change it around and say Martinez 90 sec. away from winning all 12 rounds clearly.

90 sec and Jr couldn't finish and old man.

Why do I credit Sergio so much? When he's in trouble he doesn't run, he doesn't hold, he doesn't rely on bull****.

He battles is out like a true warrior.

This. When the first line of a long post shows you don't know what you're talking about, you're letting people know not to bother.

Threads like this make a compelling case for 60th trimester abortions.

too bad. you are missing out on one really good fighter. He has a chance against anyone from 154-168, so long as he does not 'get old overnight'

It's hard to look amazing against a fighter that simply can't be knocked out.

Whatever they're injecting into Jr, it obviously makes his body impervious to pain, and his head impervious to concussions. That, & a decent left hook are all Chavez has, but that's enough to frustrate even the best opponent.

Sergio was obviously frustrated in the 12th and took a few chances. I really like that Maravilla went for it all, even though it was kind of a dumb move. The guy has PRIDE.

Dawson who was recently show up by Ward, and Vitali who's fought the likes of Charr and Chisora..? Martinez could be argued to be above Ward based on achievements at multiple weights, and JMM should be up there too. Ward should've fought Chad at 175.

This guy is just a typical troll that starts a thread and leaves only to watch everyone foam at the mouth.

    No. Hes awesome.

He has taken apart top class fighters in the middleweight division for the past 2-3 years.

Chavez, like him or not was AT WORST a top 5 middleweight with good wins over Rubio and Lee. And Martinez took him apart for 11.5 rounds.

I really dont care too much for either of these fighters, but I decided to root for chavez because who his father is and he's more a puncher than boxer (I prefer punchers) Martinez really doesn't impress me too much either he's a good fighter, not great I dont know why everyone praises him so much. If I dont like when Sugar Ray Leonard clowns around ie: winds up for the bolo/windmill punch, I sure as hell hate it when Martinez does it.

Power. ring savy, mobility, good chin, decent speed.
    What more can you ask?
No spring chicken so naturally his powers are begining to wane.
