lol..... C'mon bro this sport is about many things...defensive smarts offensive smarts heart chin endurance power speed footwork balance etc etc THE LIST GOES ON AND ON

If you think having power speed endurance ridiculous footwork, doesn't qualify you as a fighter that fights in this sport we call the Sweet Science than you don't know wtf you're saying!!!!

You need a reality check my friend because to downplay the skills and abilities that Manny Pacquiao possesses makes you look very foolish indeed!

Manny is offense minded. I know I appreciate that, b/c we will rarely catch a boring fight out of him. He does have power and speed which are keys to success, but does that make him P4P #1? IMO not so much....

I didn't say all that I was just saying -- its more to boxing than KO's ...

This sport wasn't built on guys getting KO'd ... guys fought unlimited rounds and had the last guy standing be the victor.

Pacquiao is an entertaining fighter but to compare him to actual boxers are ridiculous.

He can't adjust if he's just a straight forward power puncher w/ one hand.

He can run into a guy who won't back down or that can adjust to whatever Pacquiao brings then he's no different from anyone else, maybe even worse.

He can't fight going backwards and can't seem to throw anything else besides the jab, left hand. To a person who appreciates boxing and knows boxing thats not exciting.

Yeah its a treat to see guys get KO'd but i'd rather see a tacticle chess match w/ an emphasis on fundamentals than guys slugging it out. I like see adjustments and guys digging deep ...

There is a science to what Manny Pacquiao does and I guess it takes actual boxing experience for some of you to appreciate it. I guess some of you peoples image of a "boxer" is only the likes that fit the immortal boxing geniuses as those that I mentioned before. There are MANY MANY 1 dimensional fighters that can beat the **** out of 95% of the competition and to that you downplay as something not special? Man give me a break kid, Pacquiao's level of competition has been unreal, and he has done rather well in them.

If you count out Morales and Barrera ... who did Pacquiao beat that was known as a good elite boxing (officially I don't want any opinions on controversy)

The answer is NO. I can't even believe how close this is. Floyd is the p4p #1 and he isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Carlos Baldomir was ranked number 1, Judah was ranked 3rd when Floyd fought him.

No, but he would be solidly #2, right on Mayweather's heels.

thats my opinion though, and it would be so close that if someone else put Manny #1 I wouldnt begrudge them for it.

It amazes me to see that a lot of people projecting themselves as boxing intellectuals sees Pacquiao as nothing more than a good fighter.

Critics dismissed his exploits before fighting is the U.S. They forget the he brutally beat the **** out of the champ Ledwaba on less than a month notice. He then beat the crap out of the heavily favored Barrera in their first fight, where he didn't even want to exercise the rematch clause of their contract. He did lost to Morales on their first fight but do you guys remember what he did the their 2nd and 3rd fight. JMM- Pac 1 was a draw, Pac then was willing to settle this business (that draw) but JMM went to hide in the jungle.

Baldomir was ranked No. 1 what? Surely nothing to do with boxing!
