thats what I was thinking.... in between fights and camps..ok, no problem.... but he must have done it close to the fight to test pos..... just shows lack of focus and desire IMO

Thats too bad! This is a kid who earlier in his career forced his Dad into a rehab center for drug and alcoholism.
Seems like he did'nt learn from his Dad's mistakes.

Testing positive for Marijuana in a fight against Martinez which was a huge stage for him, is outright irresponsible and dumb.
It goes to show that his dedication to his craft is lacking.

It was evident based on his whimsical nature in 24/7 that Chavez did what he wanted and lacked discipline. Yeah, he got the work done, but did he really work. You don't just put in a little training time for the biggest fight of your life. It's hard for Jr to ever have the kind of desire his father did. It's different circumstances with human nature. Chavez Jr talks about creating his own greatness but he's not willing to die for it. He won't even put in all the work that's needed.

 

He's young he will learn that you have to smoke after the fight not before it :rasta
