Agreed. Also, when you throw more you open yourself up to get countered. It also takes up a lot of energy to be active and relentless. Jr did throw a lot in round 6 but Sergio would just come back with his own attacks and even had Jr backing up. I don't think it matters what gameplan Jr uses. If he starts off early, he's going to be spent which makes him susceptible to getting KOed either halfway or late in the fight.
Chavez did the best he could have done in that fight. If he had trained harder he might have had more reserves in that final round to really put the pressure on Martinez. He came close -but no cigar.
