The 40mill offer at the time was seen as a bit of a joke in the media, seeing as a fight would have done huge PPV's with Floyd pocketing a lot more than 60million so in reality it was worse than a 60-40 split offer.

If the fight doesn't happen I think history will look more critically on Mayweather than Pacquaio for the fight not taking place, and he may have a ceiling on the ATG list because of his non-fight with Pacquaio. To me, it looks like Floyd is afraid he might lose, this after the latest news on the fight such as 50cent saying Mayweather doesn't want the fight now even though TMT was set up for to make the fight happen, with Pacquaio's delaying of naming his next opponent, Mayweather clearly lying by sating he lost 15lbs of muscle in prison (he must have forgotten that tweeted picture that had everybody saying he was in such great shape), saying he might go to Wrestlemania and his heart isn't in fighting at the moment... He may or may not be scared of Pacquaio but he certainly doesn't want the fight to happen imo.

Steven A. trying to be gentle on a "brother" but he knows the deal. Floyd won't fight him for a 90% split. That's prob why Floyd and 50 Cents broke up. 50 saw those dollar signs and wants to make the fight and Floyd didn't like that. Floyd will not let himself lose his 0. But he will anyway if he keeps fighting. BTW, I think Tim Bradley would out-hustle Mayweather and hand him a loss.

Floyd is smaller, when the pic first came out, I'm one of the only ones who mentioned it too. Just because he shoulder looks bulkier doesn't mean his whole body is bigger (it's obviously not). Me and him are around the same size and I can tell if he's lost or gained weight, because it's almost looking at myself

Where's those people who think he needs to fight at middleweight

why do you keep calling it an excuse? When asked about Pacquiao and fighting him, Floyd didn't bring up his weight or anything. Ben asked Floyd directly about how he was treated in jail and that's the only reason him brought it up.

If your dumbass ever did any sport, you'd know losing that much weight isn't anything to dismiss.

you appear to be new to this sport, so I'll give you a pass for this ignorant comment

Not when the fight was going to get made it wasn't.

Floyd wanted no cut off testing.

    Then:

    - Pac lied and said he can only do a 30 day cut off (then got exposed when he and hatton gave blood 2 weeks before their bout) and had to go back and change the story.

    - koncz and Arum both said Pacquiao was weary of needles and that they
would cause bruising in his arms because veins are hard to find

    - Pac said taking the blood would effect him negatively because he is the smaller man (whatever that means)

    - Roach said it was just because they didn't want to let Floyd have any stipulations (even though pac gets his own)
