Damn, only 46 and shot dead. Apparently an armed robbery at a restaurant where Sanders was celebrating either his daughter's or niece's birthday (getting mixed info)...

South Africa seems a very dangerous place.

    RIP, Champ.

    Dangerous fringe contender.

    Exciting brave fighter.

    I liked him.

An absurd, tragic ending to a very credible career and a life well lived. Corrie Sanders' name belongs in every in-depth boxing history book about the heavyweight division.

Sanders was a no bull**** fighter that came to **** peoples day up. My favorite kind of fighter. He leaves us with fights that we can watch an enjoy anytime. His fights are the type you can rewatch an not get tired of

I remember watching Corrie fight Wlad years back and pulling the upset. Just a tremendous win that made him Champion.

    Sad News.

Still the only guy to keep Wlad out of a fight completely. Most special win of the HW era maybe in some ways. RIP.

A fun fighter to watch, who for a few months had the boxing world a buzz.

What a terrible way to die.

    Damn

    This is bad

With his money , he could have left and live somewhere else .

He knew where he was living .

A fighter who was truly a gentleman & a tough honest competitor in an age of arrogance, hype & BS.

God Bless him and thank you Sir, Sleep Well.
