...unless the loss broke his morale/damaged him for ever.

If many people pick one fighter to beat another, and he then loses, then they overrated him. Simple as that.

If a fighter has an off night he is overrated?:? Then what about the fighters who get the rematch and dominate the same fighter who beat them?

Well guys are called overrated even before they lose. My opinion is that every fighter is overrated by someone and under rated by someone else.

it seems a few people are arguing that if you think fighter A will easily beat fighter B and fighter B wins that fighter A was overrated, well mabey you just don't know as much about boxing as you think and you just bought in to all the hype that fighter A was going to win and in reality didn't actually know anything about either guy in the first place. Mabey...

Because this board is full of idiot children who are too immature or stupid to know better. There are some neutral fans, but for the most part, ANYONE who cheerleads: Mayweather, Pac, Klitshcko's, or Calzaghe should NEVER be taken serious here.

Exactly! There isn't a single fighter who is both underrated onthis forum, and grossly pverrated as well. Why people still makes thread stating so-so is overrated is beyond me. People who make threads like that should be remembered for furture purposes of ridicule.

Wins are MUCH more important then losses. Just some idiots like to focus on losses instead.

I didn't pick anyone to win, never really saw alot of either of their fights, mostly read about them so I'm not about to go talking about stuff i don't know about.
