Just curious since the HW division is so slow right now and since he is still one of the bigger names. I kept hearing he was going to fight David Haye. Thoughts?
He knocked that guy zuri lawrence out the ring and homie got up and back in the ring and continued on lol until later on when he was out on his feet. he had a few days notice and he was giving rahman alot of trouble but he was cleary unprepared for the fight.
I see him in the gym from time to time mostly just traing his son. He has maybe worked out once that I can recall.
Rahman was done after the second Lewis fight. Come on. You guys just want that Hype machine Haye to get a name and get more hype. I am on to you.
He is beginning training camp April 1st to prepare for may fight with Derrick Rossy. He is currently in Vgeas running 5 miles a day and working on his strength training regimine. As for the Zuri fight... He had some trouble, but Zuri beat McCline who almost beat Sam Peter. Zuri is a decent fighter. Tall. Good jab. Fast hands. Good amateur background. He gives everyone trouble.
Granted, Rahman should've beaten him better but Zuri's no bum. He comes to fight and he usually does well. Some people, and I'll blow my own trumpet here, were thinking that a motivated Zuri could give the sometimes unmotivated Rahman problems and that's kinda how it went. Guinn's the only guy to blow Zuri away recently, and that was about the first time Guinn's woken up in the last 4 years. As for Rahman, well, that fight was in November. This isn't a particularly long time between fights, and I think he had a bad cut that probably needed to heal up. No doubt his best years are behind him but isn't he still in the top ten of about 2 or 3 of the boxing orgs...? I think taking on Haye would be a bad idea though. Kind of a lose-lose there.
i guess rock is taking the stay busy method to get another title shot. but really derrick rossy. rock will pummel him well i hope he fights soon. bouie fischer said if rahman had 100% dedication he would be an awesome HW that can beat you and be dominant. its a shae rahman has squandered a lot of oppurtunity
im not sure but its def not king i think he was working with a smaller promoter and his manager steve nelson
