Hi Im looking for some tips on increasing punching power, any tips you like that will increase the power of your punch!

    For example

    Sit down on your punches.

Increasing weight will increase punching power so long as you dont slow down (think butterbean)

    Increasing speed through plyometric training.

    Strength train the legs.

    etc

Anything that will increase power any tips at all on technique, power training and so forth.

What I find really helpful is to be born with punching power lol im a firm believer in punchers are born not made haha however to improve it id say keep you elbows in tight squish the bug or put out the cigarette with your front foot when throwing a left hook getting your hips and legs in to it and the back foot when throwing a right hand assuming you're orthadox. You can sit down on your punches and still make the torqueing motion with the pivot. Read jack dempseys championship fighting a manuel on throwing punches with you full body in serious detail. Remember your not born a ko puncher however you are or arent born with the aptitude/potential to become one. The good news is there are things you can do to increase pop in your shots. Hope this helps!

sit down means to bent in knees little bit when punching, it gives you extra power

Get your shoulder up and into your punch. Very hard to explain but hey.

Also, try to bounce the guy's head off the end of your punch. Instead of trying to crush him or punch through his head, try to snap your punches so the explosive impact is at the very end. You want his head to bounce away when you hit him. Alternatively, think about punching a watermelon or something and making it explode. Some people say to think of your fists as weights on the end of rubber bands or something.

Power is hard to explain but when you get it right you'll definitely know. Punchers are made and born.

"Sitting on your punches" means bending your knees some thus concentrating more of your weight into your legs. As you turn your body/knees, that extra concentrated weight will move with it... adding more "power."

Speed will just about always be more "powerful" than power though
