I know but GB is only a team every 4 years, the rest it is the individual nations. Anyway were getting abit of topic here, he is a top boxer, the main problem he might face is the division he is in is probably one of the strongest in boxing. Any other weightclass and I think he would be a guaranteed future titleist, but with Donaire, Rigondeaux, Mares, Moreno and Nishioka as some of the main fighters in that weight class it won't be easy. Some of those fighters will likely move up soon though. :bbb
Ring Magazine top 10: 1.Toshiaki Nishioka 2.Guillermo Rigondeaux 3.Nonito Donaire 4.Akifumi Shimoda 5.Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym 6.Jeffrey Mathebula 7.Abner Mares 8.Takalani Ndlovu 9.Rico Ramos 10.Carl Frampton Carl Frampton should probably go for the Quigg vs Munroe winner then Kiko Martinez before advancing up the top ten to get more experience. Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym would probably be a massive fight though as he would be remembered as the man who beat Bernard Dunne. How would Frampton fare against Quigg, Monroe, Kiko Martinez and Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym?
Carl comes from Tigers Bay, a Loyalist enclave in North Belfast. There is no contridiction in describing him as Irish or British or both. His religious beliefs and political affiliation are his own business, he has great support from both sides of the community and long may that continue, Irish/British politics has no place in Boxing and people should keep it away from fight nights in Belfast.
The Kiko Martinez fight Will probably be Carl Framptons next fight I reckon, the fight was made before and I think Kiko Martinez had to pull out because of injury.
I think it has been cancelled twice. atsch Kiko has changed his manager twice this year... I hope Frampton will be mandatory for the EBU title. I'd like to see that fight.
