The problem is that Floyd doesn't do split purses like that. He gives his opponents a set amount like what he did with Cotto (guaranteed $8 mil) Ortiz ($2.5 mil), Mosley ($5 mil) while he (Floyd) makes quadruple that amount. 80-20 with Maravilla sounds about right in Mayweather's eyes.

 

Floyd is still dominating guys pretty easily so why would he retire. I for one am very happy that Manny is finally putting some pressure on Floyd instead using that damn "talk to my promoter" nonsense. Though we will have to take it with a grain of salt until we hear what Arum's bitchass is gonna say. Nothing gets Floyd motivated like an opponent talking **** in the media. Though I wish he did this before he signed a damn fight.

But either way Floyd will be around for at least a couple more years.
