As much of a fan I am of Rahman, this was pathetic. I hope he takes a farewell fight in Baltimore or just retires. Total disrespect for the sport. At least in the Wlad fight he showed up in shape, even though he got destroyed.

All in all, he had a great career for someone who showed up to a gym at 20 years of age, and had some losses that he was either winning the fight or got ****ed over (Maskaev I he was ahead, robbed of both Tua fights, lost a real close fight to Ruiz, got robbed against Toney with that bogus draw, etc)

Sauerland now saying that Povetkin fights Wlad after Wlad beats Wach. For ****'s sake, I remember Povetkin (rightfully) being the IBF mandatory as early as 2008, never lost in between, but kept dodging, getting injured, etc. Finally now, the fight might finally materialize with the younger guy more past his best than the older champion.

Not only did this version of Rahman not bear any resemblance to the version that defeated Lewis and Sanders, and held Tua to a draw...This version didn't bear any true resemblance to the fighter who got himself into decent shape and lasted six rounds against Wlad a few years ago. There's shot...there's shot to hell...and then there's...this.
