Juan Diaz has a great future even though he loses but Paul Williams doesn't?

I think it's unfair towards quintana to say paul williams was'nt himself when they fought. now that may be true to a certain degree. but it was obvious that quintana and his trainers came into the fight with a set plan which was throw the left punch then throw an over right then fight him at a diffrent angle and when quintana did that over and over it emphasized how much paul williams CANT cut off the ring. and one more point ppl keep saying that p-will wasnt himself because of the lack of punch output as compared to his fight with margarito you have to keep in mind that marg and quintana are two tottally diffrent fighters quintana is not going to give you a stationary target to hit him where as marg will stand in front of you and try to go to the body and head hunt after that.

Williams was effective because of his height. He was bigger than everyone at 147. He has to move to 154 and eventually to 160 as there is no way he will be making Welterweight anymore. Diaz has the bigger upside as he will always be a Lightweight. He has to improve on his defence. While Williams, will have to fight guys that will be physically bigger and harder punchers etc. Diaz' future is still bright. Williams will have the more difficult career from here on.

Thats because William is a bully that dehydrates to welterweight and comes in at middleweight come fight night and even with his rediculous reach and height he can even use a jab properly....once he is forced to fight at higher weights he will be further exposed and hopefully done for.

:good the Pw hype was insane...i dont think Pw will be a factor at WW anymore..People were going a little over board with Diaz but Diaz had the skill to back it up and bounce back..Pw on the other hand doesnt

Diaz losing to Campbell would have equated to Williams losing competitive to Zab Judah living up to his potential for one big fight, instead, he got his ass handed to him by a B level Carlos Quintana who had bad stamina himself.

Diaz fought a buzzsaw hellbent on winning with endless stamina and great skills, Williams got outclassed by a 2nd tier boxer.

    BIG difference.

I think PW is in a tougher division than JD is... its harder to predict PW's future when you have so many talents in that pool, but he is still a major player. Unlike with JD, its easier to analyze his future basing on the available opponents he have....so yes, JD probably have a better future in boxing.

Not a big fan of either of them, but it seems to me that Williams was a lot more overhyped on the basis of one fight(Margarito) whereas the Baby-bull) was starting to build a very solid resume.

Like Williams, Campbell is now being overhyped on the basis of one fight, which might have been the performance of his life and don't think he will hold on to those belts for too long.
