I know that but it is most often pads rather than sparring, but I guess if they aren't going all out then it isn't a bad warm and helps you get ready to move around the ring once the bell goes.
I would like to know Sugar Ray Robinson routine... From his own admission, he spent 10-11 months in training camps per year
I like using the sledge hammer drills, but definitely not on a bouncy surface like a tire. only on dirt, or sand.
The closest I've done where lateral box jumps, and not for an entire round. If you want something challenging, try double-unders on the jump rope for an entire round. I have yet to see someone do that.
hey I finally tried doing this drill from the video you posted a while back and I have to say it works pretty well :thumbsup [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkQXQWHMu4w&list=UUx9YJ7fTpXjoAqZKFPBUtAw&index=7&feature=plcp[/ame]
sorry scrap, could you explain what is happening in this drill? if pne of the others could explain the benfits of it, and what it has improved of them it would be great. thanks
I'm no scrap but in the video description it says "This is about movement of feet and gives good balance" Maybe it helps with other things to but from looking that seems to sum it up pretty well.
