    Abdulaev and Harrison were both old as **** when they turned pro...Reid was a champion and had to fast track his career because of his eye that he was told would get to the point that he would be able to fight, so he took fights that he shouldnt have taken early in his career.

    Over rated yes, but its used today as a promo tool...In the past that was the fighters talent...But now the networks and frickle ass fans have a RIGHT NOW way of thinking...If a guy isnt fighting who they think he should be fighting right now then he is a bum...Networks think that if a fighter loses then they cant promote him as well to make the money they want.

    This isn't about Wards marketability or purses. he'll make more money if he loses a close decision to Joe Calzaghe or Kessler NOW and stays in the game LONGER like Bernard Hopkins did than if he just comes and goes like Robin Reid, Beyer, Lucas or other title holders did.

    Not that those guys weren't tough or carefully managed...

    There's no real weakness in Ward except his competition.

    Journeyman Bika is now WBC champ.
    Ward is clear #1 SMW with a very good resume.
