Humble yourself time : What fights have you predicted, and got badly wrong?

I'm paying the price for my only bad prediction, as evidenced from my super-exclusive, limited-time only, "special edition" Sergio Martinez avatar...

expected easy Khan decision or late TKO...

Would say the same thing in a rematch though...

 

Brian Sutherland vs Kenny Rainford

I thought Rainford was going to get destroy...boy was I wrong.

Floyd vs Castillo 1

I thought Floyd was going destroy Castillo, I was wrong also.

 

Chisora to beat Haye.

 

Molitor over Frampton and Hopkins vs Dawson II, oh and I didn't really believe it would happen, but I get on Lopez over Canelo

 

By far the worst I've ever done is Darchinyan-Mijares. Almost the exact opposite fight I expected, and expected with confidence.

I was a bit too hopeful with Hopkins going up against Dawson as well, but at least he didn't get ****ing thrashed.

 

I thought bute was going to UD froch
I thought dawson was going to give ward an extremely tough fight
I thought pac was going to run bradley over in 3 rounds

 

Khan KO-ing Garcia
Maidana crushing Devon Alexander.

 

I thought Chisora would do better against Haye

I thought Pac would blow Marquez away in the 3rd fight

 

Holyfield vs Toney

Toney going up from cruiser where even there he looked flabby. I felt he just would'nt have any type of firepower to keep even a badly faded Holyfield off of him.

Toney actually ended up stopping Holyfield by being slippery and having great stamina. In instances where Holyfield needed a breather, Toney would not let him take a break and would take the initiative and take the fight to Holyfield.

I was dead wrong in that fight as I did not know Toney's capabilities as a heavyweight.
I thought Hollyfield would stop Toney in the mid rounds not knowing Toney had the physical capacity to take a real heavyweight punch as the Samuel Peter fights later showed us.

 

Although I didn't go as far as to predict a Salita win, I said he would cause Khan problems.

I can't really think of a terrible prediction I made. The only thing that springs to mind is thinking Kessler would have too much for Ward.

 

Well, it's not a prediction to be ashamed of. It turned out quite different than most expected.
