Exactly...the same US fans who picked a Lacy KO over Calzaghe are now calling him an over-rated cherry-picking slapper :-(

Top three fight in boxing at the moment.

The other one is Hatton-Mayweather. That is for the P4P title and it's the best 140 pounder in the world versus the best 147 pounder.

This in reality is for all four belts, the unification of 'the man' and 'the best' and it's for a place in the top 5 P4P.

Its a great fight that I'm very excited about. I've been calling for this fight for awhile.

I think pretty much all american fight fans are hyped about this fight. I mean it is a big fight after all.

Couldn't agree more DP. This cosy little arrangement between various old men(Hopkins),shot fighters(Jones),never were's (Tarver) and downright dull(Wright) is a nice little earner for the aforementioned without risking a beating at the hands of Calzaghe or Kessler

Yeah I agree that PBF is the biggest cherry picker out there. I'd really like to see him man up to a fight with Hatton because I think Hatton has the swarming style that will chase down PBF.
Above I'm just saying that American fans like to watch exciting power punchers (Kessler) as opposed to quick handed people that make odd looking fights (Calzaghe). The truth is that Calzaghe is probably the favorite to win especially since his hometown is hosting the fight.

:good - I also agree with your labels on each fighter. It is indeed a cozy little arrangement they have going while gaining P4P ratings while doing it, when in truth none of them are anywhere near prime.

Kessler was on ESPN FNF once seems like a pretty classy guy. Hes exciting to watch and sure as hell can punch. This is only the second time Calzaghe is fighting a real threat but I never thought much of Lacy anyway.

Hopefully the super middleweight division will grow bigger in the States. But I don't think it will be considered great before an American fighter can compete with the best in the division. But who cares? It seems like Europe and the rest of the world will follow this one closely.

    Here is though some hope:

Americans is not one homogenous bunch.

The boxing fans are generally excited. The casual fans are more excited about Toney's or Butterbean's next fight.
