    I wonder if the list might make better reading if we were to take a bigger sample of data, maybe Top 20 P4P fighters.

    Yeah but in all honesty, Haye and Hatton are top 15, not quite top 10, and going down the list a bit, ie top 20, USA also have Dawson, Diaz, Campbell, Pavlik, Mosley, Taylor etc. Same with Mexico.

    In terms of size, then yeah UK has got an impressive amount of elite fighters right now, but we by no means rival USA or Mexico overall, as you are suggesting.

    Both Haye and Hatton are Top 10 for sure, you'll find them in the vast majority of people P4P lists.

    I think if you expanded that list to cover the next 10 you'd only see even more Mexican and Great British fighters to rival the new American fighters on the list.

    He did unify his division, but that doesn't make you a cert for top 10 P4P.

    I would have Hatton in the top 10, perhaps 8 or 9, with Haye lurking around the 14/15 mark.

    Getting schooled by the p4p number 1 means higher ranking then undisputed champ these days:huh

    Can only live off the win vs kostya tszyu for so long.

    In truth neither Hatton nor Haye are top 10 yet, but Haye is certainly closer

    Hatton lost to Mayweather, and before that beat a shot Castillo and B- class opposition in Urango and Maussa. That is not top 10 material. We can't keep harping back to the glory days of Tszyu, otherwise it defeats the object of a p4p list. If he wants to even think about being top 10 he needs to beat Witter, or at least Malignaggi/Torres

    Haye's problem is he hasn't beaten anybody with any real ranking. However, 2 big wins and all but undisputed champion in only 22 fights is impressive, along with his skillset. You can make a case

    Calzaghe should be #2, obviously

    There are still quite a lot of good names at cruiser Haye hasnt beaten.

    I would have put my money on quite a lot of other figthers if they had faced Maccarinelli,too.

    Kraj,Cunningham,Huck,Tokarev,Alexeev,Frenkel,Hernandez,Flores,and so on would have defeated Macca as well.

    Haye for sure is the king of the castle ,but there are lot of good challengers at cruiser.

    actually its three us and 2 brit fighters in the p4p rankings if your following the ring mags rankings. with winky wright in the # 9 slot instead of haye. which imo is more accurate.

    2) pacquiao- (philippines)
    3) jm marquez ( mexico)
    4) hopkins (usa)
    5) calzaghe (britain)
    6) vasquez (mexico)
    7) cotto (pr)
    8) hatton (britain)
    9) winky (usa)
    10) rafael marquez (mexico)

    No way does Winky Wright justify a top 10 P4P ranking, it's been a few years since he's done anything remotely special. Haye is a shoe in, your Ring Magazine rankings will show this when they are next issued I have tota confidence.

    Even if we do give the USA the benefit of the doubt 3-2 for the USA is still terrible bearing in mind the size of the population and the amount of money they have to sink into sports development.

    Well Boxing is really popular in GB. The US would produce more fighters if it were a more popular sport. That being we have a large amount of people here in the US trying to be fighters and they have the resources to do it but not the motivation.

    In Mexico and the Phill the motivation is poverty (and its a strong one)

    In Brit and PR it's fame

    Here (money? you could get more in another sportt.. glory, fame? Boxing is not that popular and you can golf your way to fame)

    i live in florida and every1 is ****in fat and gyms are to expensive for the poor kids who could potentially be good fighters
