The 2lbs 145 weight was nobody but Cotto idea. Cotto told PAC that if he wanted some he can get it at 145 but no lower.

Simply put, "pre-Margarito Cotto" versus '09 Pac at heavy weight (no weight restrictions) still ends with Pac's arms raised. :deal

Cotto would never stop Pac. If Pac were totally washed up he might ,but prime Pac and prime Cotto and Manny wins everytime. Cotto is very very very good and fights the best, but he lost to Margarito,Pacman and Floyd and Floyd was about to stop him.

I like Miguel also, but he is just not the great fighter Manny is. You cannot find a way for a guy to win with 2 pounds. He was given his chances. He is not a big welterweight and neither is Pacman, and Cotto is still bigger than Manny and lost. He is a very very good fighter, but I cannot say Cotto is great. What I give Cotto credit for is fighting the best always and giving his all and winning sometimes, yet he still lost to the best guys he fought. He can still beat a guy like Trout. Match him up with Sergio at 154 is Sergio can handle the weight well and Cotto loses by knockout. Yet I know Cotto would fight him, he has guts and fights everyone.

Cotto weighed a single pound more when he beat Mosley, Clottey, Judah, and Quintana than he did when facing Pacquiao.

I'm going to go out on a dangerous limb here and say the difference of a whole pound doesn't show itself. Cotto gets ****ed up in the exact same way.

He was a champ and titlist before Roach, but he also was KOd twice too. He also should have KO loss to Nadel Hussain but I dunno if Roach was his coach for that fight. Nevertheless you agree, Cotto would have had a better chance against Pac if had a proper corner.:good

If anybody saw the fight, you could actually clearly see that the Cotto that Pac fought is miles slower than the Cotto that Mayweather fought. Infact, the cotto that Pac fought could not string any combinations at all, much less, try to be as mobile at all.

In other words, he is shot then unshot.

I guess it could have helped Cotto, we just don't know now unless they have a rematch but its going to be hard to be made because Cotto is now fighting @ 154.

What about with Pedro Diaz vs. the Pacquaio he fought in 2009? I'm curious to see what you think on that one.

Pretty much.. Pac would still most likely win, but Cotto went into the fight with a lot of things going against him that people want to ignore. Funny this is one of the few comments on this thread not quoted or replied to.

I know, the TS wasn't interested in a debate. He was looking for a circle jerk.

 Your only debating yourself kid.

Damn, 63.89% of voters voted for Pacquiao by KO!

What's the extra 2 Pounds gonna do for Cotto?

Pacquiao is a bad match up for Cotto. he got TKO'd. Deal with it.
