It's known as advertising. With so many boxers on the forum (obviously it's a boxing forum) it's the exact demographic he's after to sell his product. Explain why this is such an awful idea? I've seen Joe Defranco use a somewhat similar way to strengthen his athlete's necks. I'll post a video when I find it. I don't see why so many people are being pricks and insulting this guy. EDIT: This content is protected Give this a go if you think you have a strong neck and jaw.
Thanks for comments, Virus..I'm a product inventor and I've put out about 5 products so far...for every idea there is 50% lovers and 50% haters. 50% of boxing fans love Floyd Mayweather, the other 50% hate on him. But he has millions of bucks so why should he care? and I posted Rock Jaw on here for opinions . A banner on the site will not give the publics opinions. But i'm going to do that as well. And for those who think the product doesn't work...I am willing to mail you one ,make video of yourself using it and do 150 reps ,then spit the mouthguard out and try to talk a sentence.(good luck if your jaw lets you)
Also there is no way to prove that this makes a persons jaw stronger or have a "rock jaw" for boxing. At its absoloute best its a crappy neck harness, it does not help ones jaw for boxing although Im open to be proven wrong here. I doubt that will happen though. Does Mr Rock Jaw huimself box at any kind of level, I would like to see how much of a force of a punch he can accept on his chin after using his product every day. Post a video :happy
By the looks of it it's a mouthpiece with a weight attached. For the mouthpiece to stay in the mouth the jaw has to be clenched via isometric contraction. It's the same principle as holding a heavy weight in your hands to increase grip strength. How this would translate to taking a punch I don't know, but it would be interesting to test it out. What harm could it do? It's funny how boxers will go on about neck and jaw strength, being able to take a punch, whatever and now something different has come along to accomplish this task (or at least attempt to) and the guys mocked and outright insulted for it. I would love to hear the reasoning as to how people know for a fact this wouldn't work.
canelo also does the thing where he bites a towel thats wrapped around a weight and does reps which is more or less the same thing.
Not sure how you could strengthen your jaw, but they have the same concept for your neck. It straps onto your neck so you aren't chomping on the bit.
:thinkI'm having a hard time understanding why some of you think the product would not help a fighter???? The exercise strengthens the back of the neck and also the jaw muscle.Victor Ortiz just lost a bout from a broken jaw. Many fighters get their jaw broken in sparring sessions and in bouts. I can't believe the hatefull comments I have read in this forum. I think the hateful comments are made because misery loves company. Not because of the product. If i were to come on the forum and show a bag of rocks with a rope ,artwork and a mouthguard and ask $60 bucks for it..I could understand...but $5 dollars?? Most of the sales I get are from EBAY and i have had many people write to me and comment how great it works. Why is your jaw and neck any different from theirs?:huh :nonoI bet if Manny Pacquiao invented Rock Jaw ...none of you would hate on it.
Please explain to me how having strong legs means someone has a strong jaw. By your logic a powerlifter could take a punch from Mike Tyson and just laugh in his face when the punch has no effect.
LOL I'm still having trouble understanding why some of you think strengthening the neck and jaw muscle is not important for taking a better punch.Jaws get broken because the jaw muscle is weak. This is all common sense. Arm wrestlers strengthen their forearms so they can have a strong arm right??? Why don't some of you who do not do any forearm exercises try to arm wrestle a tournament arm wrestler and watch how fast he pulls you down.
